Bath time

All the cats got a good grooming today. They got a "sponge bath" with a cat bath wipe, then they were furminated with the furminator. It's like a brush, only it "rakes" their fur and takes enough fur off each cat to make a whole new cat. Then, the last step in our 3 step grooming process was to put some liquid flea/tick medicine on their necks to protect them for a month. None of them were too fond of the bath or the meds, but everyone likes to be furminated. Probably because is scratches their backs so well. Chrissy loves it. I swear, if she were human, she'd be at the beauty parlor and nail salon all the time.

MOUSE HUNT

I went for a mouse hunt today. What's a mouse hunt? The cats have their toy mice. They play with them and eventually, they push them under furniture. The hutch, the china cabinet, so on. They can't reach them. I have to get a flash light, a long stick of some sort--like my Swiffer Duster. I extend it all the way. Then I get all the way down on the floor--on my stomach--and with the flashlight, I locate the mice. With the Swiffer Duster, I pull the mouse within my reach and toss it for the cats. (While there, I go ahead and dust under the furniture.)

Of course, once I toss the mouse for the cats to chase after, they don't.

I swear, I think they just sit there watching me get the mice as a test to see if I am still dumb enough to get down and pull the mice out. I am.

Charly

Charly went back home to live with Shawn. Shawn moved to a new place and now he is able to have his cat. That is as it should be--but, boy, do we miss Charly!

Well, on Friday Megan stopped by and picked Charly up to take him back to Shawn. Shawn just recently moved to a new place and now he is able to have his cat. I'm glad for Shawn and Charly, but I sure have been missing Charly around here, today!
